
FFA Members present an Ag. in the Classroom lesson about apples to the 3rd grade classes at Jordan school. After each lesson every student was able to enjoy a delicious apple donated by Schwartz Orchard!


FFA Members Ali Shook, Ressa Perima, and Emma Christensen presented a lesson about apples to Mrs. Simonton's Adult and Family living class. They talked about interesting facts about apples and made apple copters.










The Annies tennis match scheduled for next Tuesday, October 10th vs Newton will now start at 4:15 pm.

Ms. Schwartz and Ms. See’s Earth Science classes got to go outside today and practice using MOH’s scale of hardness to determine the mineral hardness on the different rocks they chose. Students then had to figure out what potential minerals were in each rock!

The Orphan Soccer game vs. Carterville on Monday, Oct 2nd will now be Varsity only and begin at 4:15 pm. We will do the Senior Night presentation immediately after the game.

Child Care students had fun stepping away from their role as a high school student & into their role of teacher or pre-k student, even if just for a short time, as preschool lesson presentations began this week.





Mrs. English's Biological Applications in Agriculture class is testing for nutrients in pet food. Students brought in samples of their pet foods from home to test for sugars, starches, proteins, and fats. Students were surprised to find out that some of their pet foods had sugar in them!
