The Annies' track meet scheduled for Thursday, March 23rd at Nashville has been cancelled due to the predicted weather forecast. No make up date has been set.

Emma Heern and Teya Knox of the Centralia FFA Chapter participated in the Section 21 Public Speaking Leadership Development Event hosted by Kaskaskia College on March 21st. Emma participated in JV Extemporaneous, where she drew a topic that night and had 30 minutes to prepare a 4-6 minute speech on that topic. Emma placed 2nd in her event. Teya participated in the reciting of the 5 paragraph FFA creed. This event is for freshman FFA members only. Teya placed 6th in her event.


Today's (3/22) JV baseball game vs Herrin is cancelled. The Varsity game is on.

The Annies soccer game scheduled for tomorrow (3/23) at Harrisburg will now have a 4:30 pm start time.

Tennis practice is cancelled for today (3/21).

The Annies track meet scheduled for today (3/21) at Salem has been postponed until tomorrow (3/22). The meet will start at 4:00 pm

Thursday, March 23 at 6:00 pm Annies' Soccer will play in Harrisburg at a new address, 733 W. O'Gara St., Harrisburg, their football field.

The Annies Soccer match tonight at Mt Vernon will start at 5:00 pm and will be varsity only.

The boys track meet scheduled at Salem on Thursday, March 23rd has been moved to Wednesday, March 22nd. Start time is still 4:00 PM.

Thursday, March 23rd at 6:00 pm Annies' Soccer will play in Harrisburg at a new address, 733 W. O'Gara St., Harrisburg, which is their football field.

The board meeting this Thursday, March 23 will start at 5:30 pm instead of 7:00 pm due to the musical "Spelling Bee" in the cafeteria.

Due to the cold weather predicted for Saturday morning, the Annies softball game at Effingham on March 18th has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 18th with a 4:00 pm Varsity start. The JV will play 3 innings after the varsity game.

Mrs. Jack's Young Adult Lit class finished reading The 57 Bus: A True Story of Two Teenagers and the Crime that Changed Their Lives. In groups, they created created game boards based on the events in the book. Students had the opportunity to play each group's game!

Freshmen Cooper Dodson and Krimsen Thompson traveled to Springfield to participate in Senator Plummer's Youth Advisory Council. They spoke to senators and lobbyists from around the state and were able to engage in a Mock Committee Hearing with high school students from around the state.




The winners of the Bake Station Competition in Foods 2 are Trinity Baker, Yvonne Maines-May, and Sarah Miller. They won with a Chocolate S'mores Cupcake. Congrats!
