The Annies Softball game for today (5/18) is cancelled and has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 20th at 3:30 pm in Marion. The Annies will take on East St Louis. Tickets can be purchased thru the gofan app.

The South Seven Conference Tennis Tournament has tentatively been rescheduled to tomorrow, Tuesday, May 19th starting at 9:30 AM. The tennis match against Greenville originally scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled.

A'dariyah Dabney smashed her school record on her way to a Sectional victory in the 300m hurdles on Thursday at Mascoutah. Her time of 45.92 is the 7th fastest state qualifying time so far in 2A. She will compete this Friday, May 22nd at the IHSA State Track and Field Prelims at Eastern Illinois University.

For the year-end Foods 2 Taco Showdown, 12 groups prepared a protein base, a specialty sauce, and a layered topping for the CHS staff to judge. Marquis Myers, Rylee Dearing, Sabrena Johnson, Lexi Atchison, and KaiVeric Bratton won the "Golden Spatula" award. Their winning entry, "The Sweet Heat Taco Treat," featured a Spicy Mango Chicken Taco.

Our Accounting 2 students all passed the Intuit Certified Bookkeeping Professional exam this week! This certification will allow our students to be more employable right out of high school. The core concepts covered in the exam include accounting basics; accounting for assets and sales transactions; accounting for liabilities, equity, and purchase transactions; reconciliation and financial statements. The Kaskaskia Region of the Illinois Principals Association held their annual Student Recognition Breakfast at Greenville College on March 13. Jordan Wiley of Centralia High School was recognized for his outstanding accomplishments at CHS including but not limited to his leadership, citizenship, academics, and performance in fine arts. Jordan will be graduating from CHS this May and plans on attending Eastern Illinois University next fall to major in Biology. Pictured are: Assistant Principal Mr. Bobby Brenneisen, Principal Dr. M.
