Today, tech specialist at CHS, Brian Smith, spoke to our Computer Applications 2 classes about the components of computers and career opportunities in the technology field. The students were able to see and touch the hardware and were given examples of the decrease in size, but increase in power, of many of the components over just the last few years as technology is continually advancing.



The Annies Basketball team has been assigned to the Herrin Regional and will begin to play on Tuesday, February 15th at 7:30 pm vs Marion High School.
Admission will be $5.00.

The Annie’s basketball game scheduled for Saturday, February 5th at 11 am will now be a Varsity only contest starting at 1 pm.

Tonight's boys JV/Varsity game at Cahokia is postponed until Monday, Feb 7th. It will be a varsity only game beginning at 6:30 pm.
We will still host O'Fallon for F/S boys basketball on Monday, Feb 7th as scheduled.

The F/S boys basketball games scheduled at Triad on Feb 8th have been moved to Monday, Feb. 14th. The frosh game will start at 6:00 pm and the sophomore will follow.

The Annie's Bowling Team has been assigned to the Carterville Bowling Regional on Saturday, February 5th at the SI Bowl in Carterville, IL. Bowling will begin at 9:00 am and admission for spectators is $5.00.

Orphan Basketball Fans-
Tuesday, February 21 Mater Dei will host the freshman/JV/Varsity Orphans.
4:15 frosh start followed by JV/Varsity.
There will be about 120 tickets available for downstairs seating for Centralia fans. All other tickets are for balcony only seating. Tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis.
$5.00 admission for adults, $3.00 for students.

The Annies Basketball team has added a game this Saturday, January 29th at Anna Jonesboro High School. The JV game will be one half with the varsity to follow. Game time is set for 11:00 a.m.

The Annies bowling match scheduled for February 2nd is cancelled and will not be made up.

Frank Basting and Brandon Mills both took home gift certificates for money on their lunch card, compliments of Monken Auto, at the Annie’s home basketball game Tuesday night.


The Annies & Wildcats joined efforts to raise money for a breast cancer patient at their conference game on Monday night. Destin Mays was the winner of the Monken Half-Court Shootout. Congrats, Destin! Thank you, Monken Auto, for sponsoring this fun event for CHS students!



The Orphans and Annies bowling team will celebrate Senior Day tomorrow as they take on Salem at the Salem Bowl. The seniors will be honored at 3:00 pm with the match starting at 3:15 pm.

Get your Centralia spirit necklaces while supplies last! $3.00 for a set (one red and one white). They can be purchased at home basketball games, from the Athletic Office, and from Dennis Krupp in room 1066. Proceeds go the Alumni Association.
