Mr. Flores visited Mrs. Jacobs’ choir class Wednesday to talk about the celebration of “Las Posadas” in Latin American countries. The choir is singing “En el Nombre del Cielo” to represent Las Posadas at the Holiday Concert on December 1.

General science classes have finished their unit on forces and motion with an egg drop project.
These are the students who won the egg drop project! They had to create a project with only specific materials that protected an egg from cracking when being dropped from 10 feet in the air!

CHS students showed off their talent in a Spirit Poster Contest last week. CHS has great talent and even more school spirit! First place went to Meredith May, 2nd place Tamya Shelby, and 3rd place Sophia Schossler. Thanks to all the students that participated!
The Annies Volleyball team will compete in the IHSA 3A Regional at Herrin High School on Tuesday, October 25th at 6:00 pm. The Annies will play Mt Vernon with the winner advancing to the regional championship on Thursday, October 27th at 6 pm.

The Centralia cross country team has been assigned to the IHSA 2A Highland Regional which will be held on October 22nd. The race will take place at the Alhambra Fireman and Legion Park located at 610 W Main ST in Alhambra, IL. The girls race starts at 10:00 am and the boys race will start at 10:45 am.
The freshman football game vs. Mt. Vernon on Thursday, October 13th, is going to be played at home at 6:00pm.
