Graduated, MBA from Southern Illinois University, 1974
Graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Banking, 1981
Started career in banking at First Granite City National Bank- became President in 1984
Served as President/CEO of Magna Bank/Union Planters Bank for its 38 locations in southwestern Illinois, 1988-2005
Served as President/CEO of the BANK of Edwardsville, 2005-2015
Serves on the McKendree University Board of Trustees
Serves on the Board of Directors of Belleville Memorial Hospital
Served on the Leadership Council of Southwestern Illinois
Served on the United Way Illinois Auxiliary Board

Serves as a board member of the Bobby Joe Mason Foundation
Recieved the Distinguished Citizen Award and Lifetime Achievement Award from the Lewis & Clark Council Boy Scouts of America
Received the Humanitarian Award from the Alton Chapter NAACP
Received the Justine Petersen Lifetime Achievement Award
Received the Alumni Achievement Award from the SIU College of Science

Received the People's Choice Award
Received the Veteran's Administration Scholarship
Received the Marion County State Representative Scholarship

Served as President of the Georgia Society of Oral; Maxillofacial Surgeons
Served as President of the Southeastern District of the Georgia Dental Association
Served as President of the Savannah Dental Society
Was a two-time member of the All-SEC Academic Basketball Team
Was a member of the 1965-1966 NCAA basketball finalist
Was drafted in 1968 by the NBA Milwaukee Bucks
