CHS students showed off their talent in a Spirit Poster Contest last week. CHS has great talent and even more school spirit! First place went to Meredith May, 2nd place Tamya Shelby, and 3rd place Sophia Schossler. Thanks to all the students that participated!
The Annies Volleyball team will compete in the IHSA 3A Regional at Herrin High School on Tuesday, October 25th at 6:00 pm. The Annies will play Mt Vernon with the winner advancing to the regional championship on Thursday, October 27th at 6 pm.

The Centralia cross country team has been assigned to the IHSA 2A Highland Regional which will be held on October 22nd. The race will take place at the Alhambra Fireman and Legion Park located at 610 W Main ST in Alhambra, IL. The girls race starts at 10:00 am and the boys race will start at 10:45 am.
The freshman football game vs. Mt. Vernon on Thursday, October 13th, is going to be played at home at 6:00pm.
Come out and cheer on the Annies for senior night!
Opal finished 3 over par with a score of 75. She is tied for 7th place and will start round two of the state tournament 6 off the lead. You are doing great, Opal!
CHS Annie golfer, Opal Domethong, is currently playing her first round at the 1A State Golf Tournament in Decatur. She just finished the first 9 holes at 1 over par. Go Opal!

The varsity only boys soccer game today (10/3) at Carterville has a minor time change. It will begin at 6:30 pm instead of 6:00 pm.
The Centralia High School administration is aware of the events that occurred at Cahokia High School this week. The Centralia administration has been in contact with the Cahokia administration. We have been assured that law enforcement has investigated the situation and feel it is safe to continue with the regularly scheduled football game for this evening at Cahokia High School. We have also been assured there will be additional security at the game.
