Foods 2 students had the opportunity to participate in an exciting educational field trip at the FireFly restaurant in Effingham, IL. The experience deepened students' understanding of farm to table concepts and exposed them to real world applications of sustainable food practices. The class received a guided tour of the kitchen's operations as well as a walk-through of the surrounding property to learn more about how locally sourced ingredients are incorporated into The FireFLy menu. The trip ended with a delicious farm to table lunch with a choice entree and specialty desserts.

The public is invited and we would especially love to see the family members of those well deserving students who are receiving an award or performing.
