Course Number: HO028 Orientation To Health Occupations

Grade: 10-11
              The main purpose of this course is to assist the student who is interested in Health Occupations to further develop his/her self-concept and match personal abilities to tentative career choices in the health field. Students who complete HO028 and who enroll in HO039 Health Occupations Core of Skills  may receive dual credit with Kaskaskia College.

Prerequisites: HO028
Grade: 11-12
              This Course includes classroom, laboratory, and clinical experiences.  Basic nurse assistant skills and presented and clinical experience in nursing homes and hospital health care is provided to the student under the direct supervision of the health occupations instructor.  Students who have completed HO028 and enroll in HO039 may enroll and receive dual credits (without charge) with Kaskaskia College for NAST 160 Nurse Assistant (7 Hours Credit).
